About me
From molecules to interfaces.
Hi, I'm Bayu — a product designer in Jakarta making healthcare feel less complicated.
My path wasn't a straight line: a Chemistry degree from Universitas Indonesia, a year selling lab instruments, two years running websites and SEO — then product design, where all of it finally clicked.
Since 2023 I've designed at the Digital Transformation Office (DTO) of Indonesia's Ministry of Health — collaborating with 4 cross-functional teams on 5 products in the SATUSEHAT ecosystem, from a digital prescription used by 8,000+ pharmacies to app features serving 1M+ users.
I care most about the unglamorous parts: research nobody sees, accessibility audits, and testing until the design disappears into someone's routine.
Off the clock, I tinker in Framer, chase smooth Lottie animations, and explain to relatives why I no longer wear a lab coat.
Principles I design by
Clarity over cleverness
If a pharmacist mid-queue has to think twice, the design failed once.
Accessible by default
Good design works for everyone — low vision, slow connections, and stressful days included.
Evidence beats ego
Every big decision gets tested with real users before it ships.
